About Next Tech Automation
Next Tech Automation exists to give food manufacturers the single-source partner they've never had — one with the engineering depth to plan correctly and the operational experience to execute.
Who We Are
Next Tech Automation was founded on a straightforward observation: most food manufacturers struggle not because automation is too complex — but because they lack a single, experienced partner who can coordinate every piece of it.
Our founder, Zack Lynch, is a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2017 who has throughout his career delivered over $75 million in automation systems across food manufacturing, automotive, electronics, and medical industries. He spent years working inside and alongside some of the most demanding manufacturing environments in North America — developing the pattern recognition that only comes from real project accountability.
That background is what makes Next Tech different. We've coordinated multi-vendor installations, managed commissioning on tight timelines, and rebuilt process designs mid-project when the original scoping was wrong. We bring that experience — and that discipline — to every engagement.
How We Work
Most consultants hand you a report and step back. We stay in the project — coordinating vendors, managing scope creep, tracking milestone completion, and making decisions when the floor gets complicated.
Our approach is built around reducing friction at every handoff: between your leadership and the project team, between your team and vendors, and between planning and execution.
See Our Project ProcessWe evaluate what your plant actually needs before recommending anything. That means honest feasibility reviews, not equipment pitches.
You deal with one point of contact across every phase. No handoffs to a separate project management firm or commissioning team.
Every phase produces documented deliverables — layouts, ROM estimates, DA matrices, bid packages — so your team always knows where the project stands.
Background
Our team's background spans food manufacturing, automotive assembly, and large-scale distribution — environments where coordination complexity is high and the cost of failure is real.
Beef, pork, poultry, bacon, IQF, sauces, and wholesale-ready operations — with firsthand understanding of food-grade requirements, throughput constraints, and HACCP considerations.
Experience supporting automation programs at major OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers — applying automotive-grade project discipline to food and consumer goods environments.
Conveyor systems, sortation, palletizing, and fulfillment automation at scale — including programs for large-format retail and e-commerce distribution operations.
Multi-vendor project coordination, schedule management, budget tracking, and milestone reporting — with a bias toward documentation and accountability at every stage.
PLC/HMI integration, production visibility systems, and MES-level data infrastructure — connecting automation hardware to the plant information layer.
New plant construction automation from blank site to operational — including utility planning, equipment sequencing, and all-hands commissioning management.
Why We Exist
Most food manufacturers work with equipment dealers, integrators, or large engineering firms. Each of those paths has tradeoffs — misaligned incentives, handoff gaps, or overhead that doesn't match the scope of a mid-market plant upgrade.
Next Tech Automation fills that gap: an independent engineering partner with the experience to handle complex projects and the structure to stay accountable through commissioning.
